Rental Period:
1 Day Rental =1 Calendar Day MORNING to EVENING (09:00h - 20:00h)
The rental period is calculated on a 24hr basis only if delivery/collection is EVENING to EVENING (20:00-20:00 more or less) or MORNING to MORNING (09:00-09:00 more or less)
If delivery/collection of the Rethymnon Crete motorcycle rentals take place during the day, it is considered an extra rental day.
The total cost of your rental will be quoted when the times of your flights/ferry are given to us. However, it is possible to reserve a motorbike even if this information is not available at the time of booking.
Greenways Crete Motorcycle Rentals Insurance:
Third party liability insurance is included and covers:
- Death or bodily injuries to third parties up to € 500,000
- Property damage to third parties up to € 100,000.
Full insurance (collision damage waiver) is included but with an excess payable amount in case of damage. This means that the driver is liable/responsible for all damage to the motorbike up to the excess amount of:
- € 400,00 - for motorbikes up to 250cc &
- € 600,00 - for motorbikes over 250cc.
Theft insurance is optional and upon request with an extra charge (see pricelist).
Local Deposits - Guarantee:
Please note that all renters are required to place a credit card guarantee at the time of delivery. This deposit covers the insurance excess amounts (see above) in case of damage. Cash deposits are not acceptable.
If the motorbike is in the same condition at the time of collection as it was at the time of delivery our representative will sign your contract verifying that Greenways Motorcycle Rentals in Crete has no claims from you.
In case of damage Greenways will inform you by email or fax within 4 days concerning the damage costs which will be charged to your credit card.
Road Assistance Service:
Greenways Rethymnon Motorcycle Rentals in Crete offers road assistance in case of vehicle damage, throughout Crete. Just dial the service number that is written on your rental contract and one of our representatives will come with a service team to repair the damage or replace the vehicle.
Driving license:
- All EU Drivers must hold a valid category A license (motorcycle category) for at least 12 months and be at least 21 years old.
- In addition to the driver's licence, a valid ID card is necessary.
- All Non EU drivers must hold an International driving licence.
- It is the driver's responsibility to ensure that he/she has the appropriate driving licence.
- No refunds will be given for rentals rejected due to non-show of a valid driving licence. Faxed or photocopied licenses are not acceptable.
Helmets:
Our company has a wide selection of economy helmets in all types and sizes, free of charge. This applies for motorcycles delivered to airports or elsewhere on the island, apart from our office. Of course it is more convenient for you to bring your own helmet. Additionally, we can offer good quality helmets upon request with extra charge (see pricelist) Attention!! In order for us to provide you with the best possible service you have to inform us exactly for your size number prior to your arrival.
Delivery - Collection:
- a) To / from Airports or Ports
To start your holidays immediately, just inform us the arrival airport, flight number and arrival time, and one of our representatives will be waiting for you at the exit of the arrivals lounge, holding a sign with your name written. Alternatively, we can transfer you from the airport to our main office in Rethymnon so that you can collect your motorcycle (depending on the location of your accommodation).
- b) To / from your Accomoadtion / Hotel on Crete
If you wish to pick up your motorcycle from your hotel in Crete, please inform us oft its name and address. One of our representatives will meet you in the reception area at a pre-arranged time to deliver your scooter/motorcycle.
Reservations & Payments:
A. RENT-A-BIKE only:
In order to CONFIRM a reservation it is required to make a down payment of:
- € 100, for bookings up to 2 months prior to your arrival (minimum down payment).
- 50% of the total rental amount, for reservations within 2 months prior to your arrival.
The balance has to be paid at time of delivery (cash or credit card)
B. PACKAGES (Roundtrip/Holiday Packages):
To be able to confirm a reservation, we require a down payment of 30% of the total amount. The balance must be paid 21 days before arrival. If you make your reservation less than 3 weeks prior to your arrival, then the full amount must be settled. Once we have received payment, we will send you a booking confirmation.
Down payments can be settled:
- within EU-countries by money transfer
- by credit card using our electronic payment function: step to payment
- by credit card using a special authorization form (on request)
All major Credit cards are accepted– except American Express Cards.
